Greenery Elements to add to your Wedding Decor

Flowers have been essential wedding decor since probably the beginning of time, but greenery has been stealing the show lately! It’s gone from being a “filler” to the main event, with some brides opting for no flowers at all. Whether it’s an all foliage look or with pops of flowers thrown in, greenery is versatile enough to work with any wedding style.

Here are some ways to incorporate greenery that will wow your guests:

Centerpieces are the easiest way to incorporate greenery into your decor. It can be a great way to add volume and drama to an arrangement without the price tag. Greenery balances out bigger blooms so arrangements are natural, not stuffy.

Nothing makes a statement like a bold backdrop. Instead of a flower wall, go for lush greenery like the fern wall here. You can keep it natural sans text or add a quote, your names, or a hashtag to up the wow factor. Fair warning, the instagram-able coolness of your greenery backdrop might be a more popular spot than the dance floor!

Signage has become a must at weddings – whether it’s chalkboard, wooden, or mirror every couple seems to have a message to display to their guests. Add some new life to this trend by draping garland over the top and it will be sure to catch everyone’s eye.

How are you planning to use greenery in your wedding?

Hello World

Wedding planning has been a crazy, fun, stressful, exciting journey so far and it’s hard to believe my wedding will be here in 100 days! Now that I’ve gotten through the biggest hurdles of wedding planning and have a few moments to breathe, I realize how much I LOVE being engaged and the entire wedding planning process. So, I decided to start this blog to document all the moments, ideas, inspiration along the way.

Maybe I lucked out to get such a dreamy fiance, but I said the other day that every day is Valentine’s Day in my life! Being engaged is great because you really learn to work with your future spouse towards a common goal. Yes, there are other tests like that before you’re engaged, but most couples don’t have a huge, life-altering shared project they work on together before a wedding. It’s been wonderful to see our partnership grow in tackling challenges together. We’re incredibly lucky that wedding drama has been the most difficult thing we’ve had to deal with – and don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of stress in that process – but seeing how we get through things now is a building block to how we’ll handle bigger difficulties in the future.
